5-D Japan Advanced Course

In this course, lectures given by 5-D founders and others will help you learn how to do synthetic and appropriate examinations and apply quality treatments based on the diagnosis.
You will learn from surgical endodontic treatment to transplantation for endodontics, and micro dentistry using a microscope for esthetic dentistry. You will also learn regenerative therapy and more periodontal plastic surgery for periodontics, and GBR, sinus lift, soft tissue management techniques for implant dentistry for function and esthetics.
A goal of this course is to establish your clinical practice in diagnosis, planning, and treatment for complex cases with the application of these 5 therapeutic areas.

5-D Consensus

We aim to have trainees learn these five areas from five lecturers in each specialized area, and become dentists who are able to examine, comprehensively and appropriately, and practice quality treatment.

10 weekends a year, a total of 150 hours of advanced content

Each weekend includes lectures, labs, and discussions (10:00-18:00 on Saturday and 9:00-16:00 on Sunday), a total of 150 hours, and study group at night on Saturday.

Course Fee

1,700,000 yen for 10 weekends a year (including consumption tax, 400,000 yen material cost for original model)

Endodontic Care
LevelⅠ (LⅠ) Introduction to endodontics, root canal preparation (demonstration and lab), strategies for a curved root canal using an original root model, root canal cleaning and filling, how to cope with intractable apical periodontitis.
LevelⅡ (LⅡ) Lab for pulp chamber opening and apicoectomy using a microscope (with an original jar model), replantation for fallen tooth and intentional replantation, autogenous tooth implantation (with an original jar model).
Esthetic Prosthesis
LevelⅠ (LⅠ) To give restorations a natural view: introduction to esthetic restorative treatment, direct bonding (lab), porcelain laminated veneer, CAD/CAM ceramic restoration.
LevelⅡ (LⅡ) Using a microscope: periodontal plastic surgery lab and abutment tooth preparation lab.
Periodontal Treatment
LevelⅠ (LⅠ) Introduction to periodontal surgery, types of periodontal surgery and treatment planning, indications, FGG, CTG(lab with swine and original jar model).
LevelⅡ (LⅡ) Regenerative therapy(lab for GTR, EMD, PDGF), periodontal surgery (with swine and original jar model).
Implant
LevelⅠ (LⅠ) Implant system, making of restoration-driven treatment plan, tissue management in posterior and interior region, incision/placement/suture (lab with swine and original jar model).
LevelⅡ (LⅡ) Sinus augmentation, ridge augmentation (can be applied for indications and raise aesthetics), implant treatment for multiple defect in interior region, immediate implant placement, 4th dimension treatment, computer-guided surgery (lab with swine and original jar model), sinus lift, osteotome technique, 3D GBR in the posterior and interior region.
